I first discovered Sharkskin when I was working as a Dive Master on the Great Barrier Reef and instantly fell in love with my top. It was perfect to wear under my wetsuit and also provided protection when the water temperatures were not quite cold enough to wear a wetsuit. I always pack mine when travelling as you never know when you may end up in the water! I introduced Sharkskin to the Sea Shepherd boat M/Y Bob Barker where my role was Primary Diver and Rescue Swimmer for Operation Divine Wind in 2011/12. Sharkskin was also perfect for the Small Boat Crew to wear when they were out on boat mission's to save whales. We love Sharkskin!

very snug to get into, wouldn't recommend you stay true to size if you are any more than a B cup(you would probably need to go up a size), great in the surf, & really easy to peel off. I ended up getting the zip front top due to having bought the incorrect size to start with. My review is for the zip front top. Staff were really good about sending back & exchanging

I've been a fan of sharkskin for a while. I think I had my original top at least 8 years of frequent use (and still wear it occasionally if just need something very light although it's very worn now which is to be expected!) so they wear well if you look after them and worth the cost IMO.
I did find with the last one of these I bought, it loosened up a LOT once wet and became too loose to wear in the water as it let too much water in. Ended up buying another more recently 2 sizes smaller that I was expecting, so be aware that these need to fit really tightly out of the water as they do loosen up when wet in my experience. At the moment it's still tighter than I'd like when dry but I'm hoping with use it should loosen up where it needs to which I expect it will based on the other two I own. (In the water it fits fine! Arms are a bit long, but can be folded under. I guess because I'm on the short side.) Sharkskin were amazing and helpful with returns to swap the second one though as I wasn't sure what size I'd need and had to change over the one I'd guessed wrongly for the right size. Also big thank you for sharkskin for making wetsuits that are more than a size 12-14 in womens sizes unlike so many others.
They're flexible and provide about 2-3mm warmth without a lot of bouyancy which is fantastic. They also help to keep the sun and wind off. I frequently recommend them to everyone. I do wish they came with the colour panel going all the way to the bottom as a colour…

Ideal for a bit of extra protection for sea swimming early or late in the year. The sizing is on the small side, so go up rather than down, but it needs to be a close fit. Keeps me pretty warm and just the job when you don’t need a full wetsuit.
